Mt. TakaoToday’s post is going to be a bit short. This morning I had the chance to see a student I had my very first year teaching 4th grade. Made me feel very old! When planning this visit Daisuke (student) asked if I would be interested in hiking Mt. Takao. Of course I was interested. The Makioka family, the Kozono family, and I traveled to countryside for our hike. When we got there we took a cable car about halfway up the mountain. It was our task to hike the rest of the way. The walking itself was not too bad, but what really kicked my booty were the stairs. So steep…so many!
The final stop we took before heading to the train station was lunch. We stopped at a restaurant at the base of the mountain. I got udon noodles and some yummy veggie tempura.
